Why is your head so small, Tron?

Okay so I’m not the only one who thinks it looks like the eraser end of a pencil, then? Man this show. I don’t know how I feel about it.

I guess it’s because I’m a Professionally Trained Artist(tm) but god I love the look of this thing, the insane stylisation, and the way character designs feel like they’re part of the landscape with their gracious movements and the abstraction. They’re computer programs, it makes sense that they should look all angular. Plus it looks like they’re supposed to reflect what they represent - this general just spells evil and Tron is a poster program for Noble, Serious Business.

This Show! I just have a lot of feels about the Tron universe and I am still on the fence. This preview strikes me as a significantly better representation of the shows style and tone. As for the design … it looks BEAUTIFUL as still frames; downright sexy Syd Mead lines and shapes. The motion in those designs (or at least the ones we’ve seen so far) just isn’t doing it for me that much. Granted it’s impossible to pass judgment until we get an entire episode or two, but some of it feels like they took animatics for a live action movie, added some fine motion animation and rendered it in HD.
